BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-residue peptide corresponding to a fragment of the gastric protein BPC. It is supplied as a reference compound for in vitro and preclinical work on angiogenic and tissue-repair signalling, and ships as a white lyophilized powder, HPLC-verified at ≥99% purity.

Presentation and storage

Supplied lyophilized in a sealed vial under vacuum. Store the sealed vial at −20 °C for long-term storage; refrigeration at 2–8 °C is adequate over shorter periods. Keep away from light and moisture.

Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so atmospheric moisture does not condense onto the powder.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Direct the diluent down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder, and swirl gently — do not shake, as agitation can denature the peptide.

  • 5 mg vial in 1 mL diluent gives a 5 mg/mL stock
  • 10 mg vial in 2 mL diluent gives a 5 mg/mL stock

Once reconstituted, store at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles — aliquot the stock if it will be drawn on more than a few times.
