Chemical data
Handling & verification
The copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. Studied in cell culture for copper transport and extracellular-matrix gene expression. The blue colour is intrinsic to the complex and is what this compound should look like.
Presentation and storage
Supplied lyophilized in a sealed vial. Store sealed at −20 °C long-term, 2–8 °C over shorter periods. Copper complexes are light-sensitive: keep the vial in the dark, and protect the reconstituted solution from light as well.
Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so atmospheric moisture does not condense onto the powder.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Direct the diluent down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder, and swirl gently — do not shake, as agitation can denature the peptide.
- 50 mg vial in 5 mL diluent gives a 10 mg/mL stock
- 50 mg vial in 2.5 mL diluent gives a 20 mg/mL stock
- 100 mg vial in 5 mL diluent gives a 20 mg/mL stock
Once reconstituted, store at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles — aliquot the stock if it will be drawn on more than a few times.
Verification
Every lot is assayed by HPLC and released at ≥99% purity. The certificate of analysis for the batch currently shipping (100003-26010702, released 2 April 2026) is linked above and states the batch number, the assay method and the measured purity.
Common questions
Does GHK-Cu come with a certificate of analysis?
Yes. Every lot of GHK-Cu ships with its own certificate of analysis showing HPLC purity, and the current certificate is published on our COA page before you buy — you do not have to order first or email anyone to see it.
What purity is GHK-Cu?
HPLC-verified at 99% or higher. The certificate for each lot states the measured figure, the detection wavelength and the method used, so the number can be checked rather than taken on trust.
How is GHK-Cu supplied and where does it ship?
It is supplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial, protected against light and impact. Full US shipping, operating from Texas. Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier at checkout.
How should GHK-Cu be stored?
Keep the lyophilized vial cold and dark — refrigerated for near-term use, frozen for longer storage. Once reconstituted it belongs in the refrigerator and its usable life is measured in weeks rather than months. Aliquot rather than thawing the same vial repeatedly, because freeze-thaw cycles cost more stability than most people expect.
How do I reconstitute GHK-Cu?
Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial so the stream does not strike the powder directly, then let it dissolve on its own — swirl gently if needed, never shake. The volume you add sets the concentration, so decide the concentration first and work backwards. Our free reconstitution calculator does that arithmetic and gives the volume to draw per aliquot.
Is GHK-Cu for human use?
No. GHK-Cu is supplied strictly as a reference material for laboratory research use only. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic or medical device, it is not for human or veterinary consumption, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. We do not provide dosing guidance or protocols of any kind.
