Frequently Asked Questions
Does Kinotype ship nationwide?
Yes. Kinotype ships to all 50 US states. Every order leaves our facility in McAllen, Texas. We do not ship internationally.
How quickly does Kinotype ship?
We offer full US shipping, operating from Texas. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday and you receive tracking by email when the order leaves our facility. Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier at checkout.
Can I see a certificate of analysis before I order?
For most compounds, yes. The current lot certificate showing HPLC purity is published on our public COA page, so you can read it before ordering rather than placing an order or emailing anyone first. We are still working through the catalogue, so a few lots are not published yet — if the one you need is missing, email orders@kinotype.shop and we will send what we have for that lot.
What purity are Kinotype peptides?
Our lots typically test at 99% or higher by HPLC. Purity is measured per lot rather than set as a fixed threshold, and where a certificate is published it states that lot’s measured figure, the detection wavelength and the method — so the number can be checked rather than taken on trust.
Is HPLC purity the same as net peptide content?
No, and the difference matters. HPLC purity is the share of peptide-related material that is the target peptide, measured as chromatogram area percentage. Net peptide content is the share of the vial mass that is peptide at all, with the rest being residual water, counter-ions and salts. A vial can be 99% pure by HPLC and still contain notably less peptide by mass than the label suggests, which is why both figures are worth reading.
How are the compounds shipped, and do they need cold chain?
They ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed vials, protected against light and impact. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for the length of a domestic transit, so no cold chain is needed in the post. Storage matters once the vial arrives: keep it cold, and keep it dark.
How should I store peptides after they arrive?
Keep lyophilized vials refrigerated for near-term use or frozen for longer storage, and keep them out of the light. Once reconstituted, a vial belongs in the refrigerator and its usable life is measured in weeks rather than months. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles cost more stability than most people expect, so aliquot rather than thawing the same vial repeatedly.
How do I reconstitute a lyophilized vial?
Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial so the stream does not hit the powder directly, then let it dissolve on its own — swirl gently if needed, never shake. The volume you add sets the concentration, so decide the concentration you want first and work backwards. Our reconstitution calculator does that arithmetic and gives the volume to draw per aliquot.
What payment methods does Kinotype accept?
Card payments through Stripe, and cryptocurrency. Prices are in US dollars.
Can I buy these compounds for personal use?
No. Kinotype products are supplied strictly as reference materials for laboratory research use only. They are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or medical devices, they are not for human or veterinary consumption, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. We do not provide dosing guidance, protocols or any advice on use in humans or animals, and we decline orders where the intended use appears to fall outside laboratory research.
Who can order from Kinotype?
You must be at least 21 years old and a qualified researcher, or buying on behalf of a research institution. Placing an order is a representation that you meet those conditions.
Where is Kinotype based?
McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley. Orders ship from there to the whole United States.
Does Kinotype offer technical support?
Yes, and it is free with no obligation to order. You can book a call to go through reconstitution arithmetic, storage and cold chain, how to read a certificate of analysis, or a delivery that has gone quiet. The call covers laboratory handling only — we are not able to advise on use in humans or animals.
Does Kinotype sell bacteriostatic water?
Yes. Bacteriostatic water USP with 0.9% benzyl alcohol is stocked as a laboratory diluent for reconstituting lyophilized compounds.
Still stuck? Book a technical support call — free, no obligation to order — or email orders@kinotype.shop.
